In 2599, the Neo-Camvonian Empire unveiled what it hoped would be the future of air power: two all-metal airships not help up by air sacs. Instead, an extremely light gas known as lumine was placed in several large, air-tight canisters scattered around an experimental airship designed on the lines of a naval battlecruiser. After nearly a decade of perfection, the project came to fruition with two sister ships launched on July 30th: The HIMAS Unity and the HIMAS Victory. Two two ships are totally identical. Each measures 580 feet from stem to stern, putting them on par with the average battlecruisers. While too delicate for heavy guns, light artillery is mounted at regular intervals along the sides of the ship. The total crew of each is 256, with an additional 30 marines. They are staggeringly expensive to build, and analysts do not expect them to become very common just yet. Plans for the Victory, 2588 The Unity as seen from the Victory, with fictitious other ships added in for detail.
