The Monastic State of the Twin Islands
Founding: In ancient times, long before the first signs of the first men, the Twin Isles were not only one bigger landmass, but was in fact connected to Avaron. It is thought that early men traveled across this land bridge to the soon-to-be island. Once the seas began to rise, engulfing and eroding this once mighty land bridge, cutting off the newly created man and elves from the rest of the world. Not long after they were cut off from Avaron, the islands of Toyokita and Kazym were separated, and the peoples on them were isolated. Over the course of millennia, the two islands, which were entirely different, evolved into grand empires... That reached to the very coast of Avaron. They were very quickly batted out of the mainland, and over a century, was completely isolated once more. The island of Toyokita was populated with mostly small nomadic tribes that soon began to settle, creating small villages that littered the golden fields and hills of their minuscule countryside . Decades passed, small skirmishes between tribes were fought, won and lost, and soon a city was born. The city was oddly built to be very tall, but not quite so wide, which considering the wide, expansive flatlands, is quite odd, and another parallel. The original documents state the castle was built to serve as a sort of lookout for both the Toyokitans and also the now-known continent of Avaron. The southern island, Kazym, is a stark opposite to the wonderfully kind land of Toyokita. The lower land is a cruel, harsh, and mountainous hell to live in. The people have developed thicker bones, giving them an edge in battle and general survival. The first people did not roam about the entire island at all. No, in fact, they stayed mostly where they were. The Black Beach was the most valuable land, and there was almost constant warring over the most bountiful spot. Soon, a powerful army took over, and that army held that land until the first cities began to emerge. Even in the massively mountainous lands, their multiple cities are low and wide, build so that the harsh winds would not rip tall towers to the ground. At this point, the big brick pertaining to the most recent history is here. That is all.
