I think it's time we start thinking about not just going on Google Images and finding a cool picture and claiming it for Noliterre. I can draw (anyone can draw), but it is not a natural talent of mine and it takes me a hella long time to make a perfect (in my eye) sketch. That being said, I would only draw pictures for my own creations, not anyone else's.
Is there anyone open to the task of creating the visual aspect of Noliterre?

I was literally just thinking of doing this.
I have no natural talent, but I think a unique visual aspect for Noliterre is vitally important.
I am 1005 for this idea, and actually think it should be a high priority.

Mmm. Like I said, I can draw my own characters/creations, but it will take a long time, especially with school coming up. We need a solid Department of Art.

I totally agree. I can't draw unless the object I'm drawing is directly in front of me, and that can't really happen here.
Anyone have actual, legit art skills?

Also, with a potential board game in the works, the "We're not making money off of it so who cares" argument is holding a lot less water.

Yeah, if we're going to make it into a real board game we're gonna need good art. It contributes a whole bunch to the feeling of legitimacy.
Also, it might help any of us who are attempting to venture into the fanfiction department for publicising Noliterre. Wattpad has an option for cover images and it'll be pretty awesome if we can get some real art for Noliterre.
Of course, we need to find an artist first.
EDIT: Actually, is commissioning art an option? I know there are artists on Deviantart and such who'll draw things for you if you pay. I mean, obviously it would be better to have our own art, but it is an option at least.

I was thinking the same thing. The only issue with that is that commissions make money, and Noliterre has no revenue.

Here's the thing. Outside artwork, even public domain artwork, are liabilities. I'm not a good artist, but I can at least try. If I miss the dartboard ten times but hit once, great! I now have a piece of artwork that makes Noliterre's value go up. We here at the forum can be quality checkers, and sound boards, just in case.

No outside art indeed. Too risky
